Shipping Policy

Where All Do We Deliver?

We deliver to all and any postal address around the world. However, at this time we do not service deliveries to Russia, Bangladesh, Ghana, Pakistan, Iran, Cuba, Sudan, North Korea, Syria, Myanmar and Ukraine.

Courier companies do not deliver to P.O.Box address, so we request you to provide full street address with pin code / zip code.

Please note that residential shipments to USA & some other countries will be left at door if someone is not there to receive the package or no one answers the door bell. Our courier agents FEDEX / DHL / Delhivery. etc will not be able to provide sign confirmation of delivery made in such cases. 

No deliveries are made on Saturdays and Sundays in most cities as they follow a 5 day work schedule. 

Further, deliveries are generally made during normal working hours of courier companies and these vary from country to country.

Please note that there are no shipments made from the store on Sundays and public holidays as our logistics partners don't make any pick-ups on those days.

If you ordered two or more items, you may receive them in multiple boxes on different days, because of varying item availability and shipping locations. Often, products will be shipped separately from one another for added safety in transit, so you may receive more than one delivery to your address.

- Domestic Shipments :
  • All "pre-paid" orders Rs 1500 & above it is Free Shipping.
  • All "pre-paid" orders below Rs 1500 have a Rs 250 shipping charge.
  • For "COD" order below Rs 1500, an additional charge of Rs 350
  • For "COD" order above Rs 1500, an additional charge of Rs 250
- International Shipments : 
  • All orders Rs 30000 & above it is Free Shipping
  • Orders below Rs 30000, the shipping is calculated dynamically based on the weight of the items in the order. The shipping charge starts at Rs 1975.

Are there any hidden expenses?

We do not levy any additional charges on shipping out your favorite saris.

Note: The Government in your country of residence can impose taxes or import duties applicable on entry as per local laws. Import duties are to be borne solely by the buyer, we the seller (Bengal Looms India) do not charge or own responsibility for the import duties.

Time To Ship & Transit Times

- For Domestic (Within India) :

  • All orders ships out within 48 hrs / 2 days.
  • Transit to delivery is 4 - 6 working business days

- For International :

  • All orders ships out within 48 hrs / 2 days.
  • Transit to delivery is 5 - 7 working business days

Transit Risk

If courier company fails to deliver, you do not suffer any loss. In-transit risk is all owned by Bengal Looms India.

But Bengal Looms India will not be responsible for lost and stolen packages or any full or partial damages to the package after being left at customer's address by postal / courier agency.

Shipment and Tracking Details

We will send you an email regarding the shipment of your order, as soon as the items are handed over to the Courier. These alert emails will contain the tracking number and courier companies website details along with expected date of delivery. 

Tracking numbers for orders shipped might take 24 business hours to become active on the courier websites. Please report us within 24 hours, if you find any gap with respect to the parcel delivery.

Please do ensure to keep a track on the order and it's transit status once the tracking notification has been sent.

In case, you have not received the product within 5 working days for domestic and 7 working days for International after receiving the tracking details from us please contact us immediately over email.

For any discrepancy with respect to delivery, we will not be able to entertain any case reported post 48 hours of the delivery.

Address Change Requests

Once an order is registered, you cannot make any alterations. However, address alteration requests may be accommodated within 24 hours of placing the order. You may Email Us your alteration request and the needful will be done.

Multiple Address Order

Currently this option is not available. However, if you want to send the product to different addresses, you can place multiple orders.

Incorrect or Incomplete Address

Please note: some courier companies charge a penalty for incorrect shipping addresses, wherein the address and zip code do not match. The customer will, without exception, bear the cost of any such penalties and/or fees, not Bengal Looms India. Please make sure your shipping address is correct.

In the event of a reshipment of the same order, customers will be responsible to pay re-shipping charges for the reshipment. 

And in case there is a delay in Shipping?

If, for any reason, there is going to be a delay in shipping because an item is 'Out of Stock' or if there is an unusual delay in filing an order, we will notify you by email.  In some cases, we would offer to refund you for unfulfilled part of the order in case of our inability to resolve the order within a reasonable period of time.

At times, due to situations beyond our control such as natural calamity, festival holidays, etc, delays may occur. Refund, Returns, Replacement & Exchange would not be entertained in case of such scenarios. However, benefits such as Store Credit would be provided on a case-to-case basis. These can be used for future shopping on the site.

Billing Address and Shipping Address

Billing Address is the address where a customer gets his bills from the credit card company. Shipping address is the address where the customer wants to receive their shipment.

What happens if my order is lost in transit?

If a shipment is lost in transit, we will raise complaint with the courier company and wait for 15 days. Based on the Courier Company response , if they confirm the package was lost "in-transit" then we will issue refund on the order.

Note: Bengal Looms India will not issue any refund for packages lost post delivery i.e. if Courier Company provides written confirmation that package was delivered at correct shipping address.
