✨ Celebrate the effortless elegance of Bengal's handloom heritage with this gorgeous Begampuri Kotki Checks Saree! A perfect blend of traditional weaving artistry and everyday comfort, this saree is ideal for the woman who loves understated sophistication with a handcrafted touch. 🧵🤍

A pure cotton Begampuri saree from the handlooms of Hooghly — crisp white body scattered with red and marigold butis, framed by a bold red kotki ikat border and a striped pallu that breaks into sunset-orange checks.

Full Product Description

Woven on pit looms in Begampur, a weaving village in Bengal's Hooghly district, this saree carries everything the cluster is known for: an airy, breathable cotton weave, sharp contrast borders, and a finish that only gets softer with every wash.

The off-white body is dusted with tiny woven diamond motifs in vermilion red and marigold — small enough to read as texture from a distance, detailed enough to reward a closer look. Running down both sides is a wide kotki border, its red and orange ikat feathering into the white in the temple-tip zigzag that gives handwoven ikat its unmistakable soft edge.

The pallu is where the saree opens up. Bands of red and white stripes give way to a panel of mustard and orange checks, closed off with a deep ikat end border — a graphic finish that looks striking whether you pleat it neatly or let it fall loose over the shoulder.

Red, white and gold is Bengal's festive language, which makes this a natural pick for Durga Puja, Poila Boishakh, Saraswati Puja and family occasions. But it's light enough to wear through an ordinary working day too, paired with a gold tissue or plain red blouse.
